Yes they do! If they didn't Witchcraft would have died out, but it is still going strong after thousand of years. Witchcraft, the craft of the wise, can be traced back further than alot of main stream religions.
Wicca is the modern branch, introduced around the 1950's.
Spells and magic are a manipulation of the universes forces and the elements. Christians would call the bigger ones miracles!!

This is the wrong place to ask such questions because you get stupid answers from buffoons and ignorant people.

There are many types of witchcraft, probalby one type for each witch as we are all individuals.

Have a look at the vast array of websites available. 'The Pagan Federation'. is a good start. Try doing a Google on 'wicca'.

Spells do work but only if you beleive in them.

As a footnote. The devil has no place in witchcraft. The devil is a Christian concept. A fallen angel, no less.

The answer to your question is both yes and no.
Spells do work, when done properly.
But for a spell to work requires work, it is not as simple as saying a rhyming prayer and so mote it be.
It requires focus of mind and will, it requires understanding what your will really is. It requires a desire to have the spell succeed and the ability and knowledge of how to gather and focus energy to your purpose. And even when these things are present, it can be difficult to bring it all together. I have worked with magik for two decades it works, but not every spell that is cast meets the requirements.

Yes ,well not really witchcraft ,but something along those lines anyway.
I was told that if you learn to empty your mind of all thought (not as easy as it sounds) and then focus your mind on one thing (useing visual thought ) it can influence other people.
So every night for about 3 weeks I trained my mind ,so that I could go for 15 mins without creating a thought. It's extremally hard ,but it can be done.
Then I imagined my wife getting up at 7 and going to get a paper(ok not exactly thrilling stuff but it had to be something she has never done before)
I tend to wake up about 5.30 so every morning for about 30 mins I focused on this single thought ,after about 6 weeks it worked,I will never forget it ,out of the blue she woke up just before 7 and decided to go and get a paper .
It freaked me a bit and I never did it again .but it does work

Who knows maybe it does work. One anime I've watched is Full Metal Alchemist and it's about witchcraft and spells, in the anime they call the witchcraft and spells Alchemy. It's a 51 episode series on 13 DVDs.

It depends what you consider witchcraft. If you think you get a wand point it at stuff it will just go poof and turn into something then no.

You can't go against a persons free will either.

Spells and magic are about putting an energy into something. And the same 'be careful what you wish for' applies.

Well, some work. try some books on that. They are fun and interesting. Like Celtic magic. Its pretty fun. You can get them in some books stores. I don't exactly now which once but Barns and Nobles have some, too.

No, it's just superstitious nonsense. Although to be honest I do know a woman who was in Africa, got malaria (for the 4th time), and went to the hospital. They gave her all the available Western medical treatment, but she was unconscious and getting worse. One evening the doc told her husband she was going to die, but there was a shaman out in the bush who the locals said could cure her. They got him to come to the hospital, and he gave her some wierd concoction (and probably did his magic spell or whatever). Next morning she woke up early, bright-eyed and energetic wondering what she was doing there. True story, but no, I don't believe in magic. Somebody needs to talk to that witchdoctor and see what kind of herbs he put in that drink.

As you study witchcraft you find it contains more than spell work. Understanding the principles will help you decide if it is for you or not. Dabbling, like all things, will only lead to disaster.
