If you didn't get any insurance money, then you will have a major loss, if the vehicle is damaged alot.
A wrecking yard will not give you much money at all...it won't be worth it.
You can fix it little by little yourself...that's what I would suggest. One part at a time, then before you know it...your car will look good again.
I got into this once, when I got hit by someone with no insurance.
I didn't want to sell my car to the wrecking yard so cheap, cause I paid alot for it.
So I bought one part at a time, and pulled my bumper out using a chain and a tree, and fixes it all back up...you could never tell it was wrecked.

I assume that the insurance company has paid you what the value of it was. So now the insurance has basically bought the car from you. You should be able to contact the agency and see if you are able to purchase the car back for an amount of money. Then you could sell it yourself. You may gain a few extra dollars but you may also lose a few bucks in the process. good luck.

Well to be honest if that was me and the insurance where not going to give me a penny then i would take a trip to the citizens advice bureau (free cost) and if all else E.BAY with as many pics of the damage as possible lets say scrap yard will offer you £75 stick a reserve of £75 this way you going to get the best price, i dare say there will be a boy racer out there gutted his blown his engine and looking for a real deal.
good luck and your outcome will be interesting...

Scrap is the only way but it will probably cost you more money than you would get just to get it to a scrap yard as there are not many around now.

Get another opinion.I almost fell into the trap of "write off".
Took vehicle to second garage and it was repaired well. Then
sold it in part exchange for another car,at a third garage.

you can sell it for scrap, but don't sell yourself short. keep in mind that late model used parts are expensive and if it has low mileage(12k or less per year of age) it will make the vehicle more desirable to used parts dealers. shop around and make sure you negotiate with different yards. trust me they will try to low ball you.
