Fruit, prunes, lettuce (roughage), sweet potatoes, whole grain breads (check label for fiber content). If the constipation gets too bad, ask the doctor about fiber-con or colace.

I make sure to drink lot's of water as well as try to stay active in addition to some of the foods other listed. I find that drinking plenty of water helps me the most.
You could also try a Fiber suppliment like Benefiber or Fiber Sure.

Yes, but if won't work right away. My doctor told me to eat fiber rich foods and to take my vitamins every other day, and it has helped a lot!

The pre-natal vitamins cause constipation. My OB suggested taking stool softeners...note: NOT A LAXATIVE!!! I took one every morning and it helped, though I still got a little backed up. Good luck!

any kind of nut. cashew peanut walnut sunflower seeds. bran cereal, anything whole wheat. as always talk to your doctor about this issue today he is the best person to get advice from
