Omar, Marlin, Amari, Lamar and the names of our 4 children already. Lamar being the middle name of my youngest.

It just so happens that my husband and I married with 2 children from previous marriages. All four children, oddly enough all have the letters mar in their names. Well, we are pregnant with out 1 child together and we just found out IT'S A BOY! Any ideas for a boy name that has "mar" in any part of it?

Personally, I'd say stay away from continuing the repetition. Bill Cosby's children all have "E" names and it gets to be too much with several children.

For girls, I would have said Maren or Mary since they don't have the same 'mar' sound as the others and it would work. For a boy, I don't know, but I just feel something different is needed.

I found this website and they have several different names with "mar" in it. Some of them are:

1. Maram: Arabic; means "desire"
2. Marek: Czech/Polish; means "war-like"
3. Mardig: Armenian; means "warrior"

Hope that helps - I've attached the website - it's pretty cool.

someone's already said it but I saw it and loved it! Marek! Ooo it sounds so MASCULINE! but still cute! you can picture calling a Marek away from the sandbox can't you? But you can also picture a Marek being the love of someones life! Thats what I think makes a good name, good in childhood, good when you're an adult. Love it!

Martin (nicknamed Marty)
Mark or Marcus
Marshall or Marsh

If you just want to go with the first two letters, there's also Malcolm.
