The sky is blue as result of the density of our atmosphere.

When light leaves the sun it's white, but white light contains all colours.
The atmosphere acts like a filter allowing only blue light through.

Respectively if our atmosphere was thicker or thinner then the sky would be a different colour.

A clear cloudless day-time sky is blue because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. When we look towards the sun at sunset, we see red and orange colours because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight.

Global warming made it sad. It used to be a happy green and purple. Then all the evil humans evolved and started making the sky blue because they were cold and wanted to warm the globe. The temperature of a human being is 98.5 degrees. Humans have had so many babies that human body temperature caused global warming and made the sky blue.

The wavelength of blue has a longer wavelength than other colors and is seen as visible light.

The sky reflects the color of the ocean.

God thought it was the perfect color to accent the color of your eyes.
