Now I'm not sure who wrote the history book on oral sex, but I think your information is wrong. Oral sex is as old as sexuality I'm sure. It's just that as societies change, things become taboo or become untaboo. I think the issue really is that 15 or 20 years ago women talked about it less because it was taboo. Now that it isn't such a big deal people are more free to admit it. I doubt there was some kind of lockdown on all female mouths 20 years ago. At least in the sense of using it for pleasure. People have been sexual since human existence, it's just whether or not people want to talk about their exploits. It also I think has something to do with the double standard that if a woman brings a man home she's a slut, but if a man brings a woman home he's a champ. So seeing as that hypocrisy still applies today, would you be surprised that few women want to divulge their sexual encounters?

My opinion, the reason for it now is the internet. 15 to 20 years ago, women didn't know what it was. The only way to know was to watch porn, or had a guy watch porn and try to get his girl to do it. For the most part, in order to watch the movies, one would have to go to the store and buy them or rent them. The stores that usually sold them or rented them weren't the best shape, nor in the best part of town, so you felt dirty going to rent one. Now, you can do a quick search and find all the porn clips you want and you can do it without anyone knowing about it. 15 to 20 years ago, someone could have seen you go in or come out of a store then the gossipping would start, now, you can click away and watch and learn. More women realized it is what a guy likes, and they can sit and learn on a computer how to do it. They could be curious without being embarrassed.
Anal is the same way, you will find more girls are willing to try that too, and threesomes, all because they see it done online and are curious about trying it.

I dont think its giving in at all. I think its women seeing pleasure for themselves and the one they are with.

15-20 years ago things were a lot different, as they were 15-20 years before that. sex has changed and is forever changing as people are more open to talking about it and learning new things about it.

Oh and as a note your parents generation did it too, they just didnt talk about it as much.

I have asked that question myself too. I have being surveying the situation among several women, and I am surprised that many of them (70%) who are experimented an it their mid 30’s have told me that they enjoy that very much and make them hot before vaginal penetration. On the other hand women are also very keen to please men sexually, and they know that we like oral sex a lot, receive it and give it too.
