I have often fantasied of being taken for a trip through the universe and returned back to Earth.Oh what I could tell everybody of what I saw. Some life forms would resemble arthropods others may have reptilian features and fly through the atmosphere like Pterosaurs. There would planets in different stages of evolution from the simplest to the most complex. If you are a young person you may live long enough to see the first planet which has life. What an existential experience that would be! Live long and prosper.

Considering the exakt same "What momentous event do astronomers think “cosmic background radiation” is left over from?" question has been asked a godzillion times within the last two hours, absolutely.

There must be planets out there with intelligent life.

Or, failing that, life at least capable of using a search function.

There most certainly must, yes, be life other than ours. The chances against it are literally: astronomical.

And yes, I would.

I should like to live on an aesthetically beautiful (like Earth) planet that is in orbit around a Sun commanding a very inert and inactive and stable (unlike our own) solar system so that cultural development had some small chance (unlike ours) of becoming advanced and civilized. As opposed (like ours) to primitive and uncivilized.

Obviously, I should like to live in that particular historical epoch, on the planet also: its civilized, post primitive epoch.

Given the appallingly slow rate of socio-economic and cultural progress, set against the extreme regularity of mass-extinction events in our own solar system, it will not be possible to reach this stage here on lovely Planet Earth.

So nice question, but i think a Human can live just on that planet, where they can get Air, Food and water, and land,
so, we have some planet without the earth, but on that every planet, Human needs are not available, i think on the mars, in the future, we can live, if scientist will make the water on that planet..

Very strange question. As far as we know, there is nothing (like *nothing*) on other planets. Why would anyone want to go to another planet?!

One day, the Earth will be destroyed (nothing lasts forever) and we won't have a choice to move probably to Mars, but we're a long way from that.

Yes, I would. Anywhere, providing there are no
- politicians,
- lawyers,
- military,
- government,
- diplomats,
- estate agents,
- do-gooders,
- second-hand car salesmen,
- racists,
- pedophiles,
- criminals and terrorists in general, (this includes Bush, Blair and the clique)
- bankers,
- taxes,
- Jehovah whitnesses...
and there are
- warm climate,
- clean air and waters,
- mountains close to the seas,
- rain at night only,
- beautiful sunsets (even two suns would be nice),
- just friendly and smiling people,
- philosophers,
- honnest doctors,
- good writers...
But, hey, if you find it, I'll go with you.
(Actually, Portugal Algarve isn't soo bad...)

I would make up my own planet called Planet Zeptoralfricaucoius. ( Zep-Tor-Ala-Frici-Osous) There would be many types of people. The people could fly or go inivisible. You only get to pick one. I would fly. And i would be a business man so I could wake up early and get coffee :)
