Boiling or any other form of cleaning may not 100% heal the foliage and rocks from Ich, and they can always be dormant and then come back, unless you put them in very bright sunlight (and sun's heat) for 7-10 days after boiling.

If you live in such an area where there is hot sun, it can be done, else its always safe and better to replace the whole set-up.

I have had Ick in one of my cichlid tanks. ( i have 13 tanks) When i treated the the Red devil I found the rocks were treated as well. That was 2 years ago and it hasn't come back. I do not know about foliage, as cichlid don't have them in her tank. But for sure the rocks were treated as well as the fish.

If it is fake foliage, boil it along with the rocks, but if it is real, you will either need to find a hospital tank for it, or throw it out and start over.

No need to worry, ich is a fish parasite and does not live on plants, rocks or other decor in the tank. Just turn the heat in the tank to 90 or so for a few days and it will all die from no host.
