I also have the same soft spot for military personnel and think we should bend over backwards to assist them in any way possible.

If she was married to a citizen then she's not an illegal. I thought that was how it worked. I hope cases like these are handled on a case by case basis, not just processed through the bureaucracy. I'm sure a good person could see that she shouldn't be deported.

This story is heart breaking. Lets suppose and God lets hope that they find the missing soldier alive. Lets pray that that happens. And he comes home. And his wife has been deported. How could anyone possibly argue that that is the right thing to do? I hope America looks inside the goodness of its soul, the goodness and kindness and decency of its people and refuses to let this happen.

They don't deport anyone else so why deport her?
Nobody seems to be enforcing any laws here anymore.
If the laws were enforced then she wouldn't be here. So let her stay till they treat all illegals the same and deport them all.
Then she can apply to come here legally.

Yes. Illegal is illegal. What is it that people don't understand about that word? If I smoke a joint in my own home I can be arrested, what makes her above the law?

Since she was married to a United States citizen, she shouldn't be deported. She isn't illegal anymore.

This is most definately a special case and if ICE deports her, they are just wrong, on a whole lot of levels.

If she officially married, automatically she can file the papers for citizenship, and get it. It doesn't matter if the husband is MIA.
