Yes, of course, any veggie matter can go into your compost bin. You can also add egg shell and coffee grounds and bread. What you can't put in is any kind of meat product.

In your compost bin? You usually have to make sure to stay away from meat scraps, that'll bring the vermin, but I think just about any other organic scraps are fine. Cucumber being one of them.
