It is in the hands of God so I am not worried about it. what we could do though is at least take care of the earth while we are here.

At the most fundamental level, being stewards of the earth means we are aware that there is spirit in everything, and that everything is connected.
It means there’s an awareness of our actions, whether it's cutting down a tree, harvesting a vegetable, taking an animal's life, digging a hole, or even thinking a thought.
Being stewards of the earth doesn't mean we have to live life without abundance. It doesn't require us to follow rigid prescriptions or restrictions, or to be judgmental about the actions of ourselves or others.
It does mean a life enriched by a sense of connectedness and belonging, a life filled with respect for the earth because the earth is our home.
In this section we will discuss earth stewardship in fairly fundamental, philosophical terms. If you would like more information on a specific topic discussed here, refer to "Earth Stewardship Resources" at the end of this section.

Well.. it depends on us.. we influence the earth... if we take care of the earth by not polluting it, such as open fires, deforestation, polution, and other.. the earth will less likely to be destroyed..

if we polute it.. it will cause more damage to earth and may cause global warming like we are experiencing now.. this cause the sea level to rise due to melting of ice in the antartic... this will lead to the destruction of earth

well external factor include well.. hit by asteroid or others such as armageddon..
