We can save polar bears by stopping global warming and respecting the other animals that live in their ecosystem.
Global warming is the cause of the ice melting at the north pole. Because this ice is melting, polar bears are actually drowning after swimming great distances because the ice is disappearing. If we could reverse global warming and return the ice to the north pole, polar bears could eventually return.
Polar bears also are suffering from a food shortage. We need to respect the animals that they hunt like seals and fish so they have enough food to survive.

Stop eating them, Stop catching them and taking them to zoo's, Stop polluting (polluting can destroy their food supply)
I'm not particularly fond of the idea of feeding them. They will learn to get food from humans, then if a bear see a human and thinks he is going to provide food, the human may mistake this as aggression and defend himself by killing the bear.

If you buy them in a sealed pack, they will be worth more later. If you buy them individually, you can keep them safe by putting them in plastic sleeves. When I was a kid, I used to just throw them in a big shopping bag. That wasn't a great way to save them.
Now they have have special binders and boxes. If you are interested, you can buy them, trade them, sell them but mostly, I like to save them.
