ive been very quiet sinse i can remember, im even quiet when im with my friends. And im even more quiet around girls. my shyness is keeping me from getting a girlfriend and im starting to feel really sad. I wish i could change, ive only had one girlfriend in my entire life and that was like 5 years ago(i was 14)I just want to be more social. im sure that if i wasnt shy i would be able to get a girl friend. can someone please give me some kind of advice on how to become a more social person?

One thing to remember is that no matter how outgoing they may appear, most people, especially girls, are also shy and nervous inside. Sometimes the loudest and most outgoing are really the most afraid inside and they use their bravado to hide their fear.

You have nothing to lose by approaching a girl you admire and asking her out. The absolute worst thing that can happen is that she will say no. So what? She can't take away your birthday and she might just say YES!

There are a ton of girls out there who would just love a sensitive guy like you. Sensitive is very sexy. Good luck.

aww you sound exactly like me except that i'm a girl...well the only way you can get over it, is practice on talking to other girls who you may think aren't as attractive...and then start talking to prettier girls and try to force yoursellf to add something besides just yes or no...and then you'll start getting used to it. the only way to stop being so quiet and shy is to do it more...

Mate, I know the feeling. I'm like that and I'm 15. I used to be a lot worse though. What you have to get into your head is that you can talk to girls, you can do whatever you want. And remember that, under the skin, females are identical to you (save a few choice features), and that they are going through the same problems you are.

Start by being more confident with yourself...Humor can help alot too..Just talk to people, sometimes a simple gesture or sentence can open up a world of conversations...Ask girls questions, they love to talk, most of them anyway and asking questions gets them going...Ask about them, the situation at hand or something you just want to know about them in general..good luck!
