Bear in mind that if you were to have asked a random person in Europe in the 1600's if it would be possible to make a person in Africa 2000 miles away appear magically in a glass window, you probably would have been burned at the stake, for heresy. Yet as we all know, indeed we see images from all over the world every day through "glass windows" (television). I may not have the answer to your question, but I would be wary of anyone who claims to be "certain" that an answer to your question can "never" be found. Over history, we have routinely answered and subsequently mastered the "unanswerable". Many of the things we know today that we take for granted, would be considered "magic" even as recently as the 1800's. Keep an open mind. Nobody knows what kind of technology we will have at our disposal in the future to determine the nature of things currently deemed "unreachable". Dont let anyone discourage you from trying to learn whatever you can. Even if it seems impossible, past history has routinely proven that the impossible doesnt stay such for long.

Sorry, cpc, but your question asks what cannot be answered.
We cannot see back into the past to "Pre-Big Bang". Heck, we have difficulty enough seeing up to anything at "Big Bang".
We are not seers of the future either. We don't KNOW how the universe dies at all. We theorize how the universe functions, and we think it has and end, just as we think it had a beginning.
The "big picture" won't get solved until we figure out how to be observers of the universe's final fate, instead of participants.

No I don't... but just as others should not have a say in how I raise my kids, I should not have a say in how others raise their kids. I am against indoctrination but I can't see how to fight it without taking away the freedoms of others. I mean what if someone told you it was wrong to let your kids play with Ninja turtles action figures because it advocates vigilantism? So while my personal opinion is that teachings in the bible directed towards young children that glorify the violence and genocide within the bible using action figures are indeed wrong.. I cannot forget that other people may think the same about many other action figures and the ideals they represent. Once you start there it won't stop at that, pretty soon any violent action figures will be banned.. For example I think Bratz dolls teach girls to be self-centered and shallow, but is it my place to tell people they can't buy them for their children? No it's not. I wouldn't want someone else telling me what my kids can play with that is acceptable, so I won't do it to other people.

No, understanding the events "before the big bang" is equal in difficulty to understanding the events that occur "north of the north pole."

There were no events before the big bang. Science is still trying to determine how the universe will end.

yes. when we know what happened, we could get to know what will happen as the beginning and end are probably similar.
