it would make a better atmosphere n the stadiums.i know it helps college crowds get hyped.

They used to
The Redskins had a band and I even remember going to the Jets games in teh 1970s and a high school team would do the half time show. It was phaed out for several reason.
One they used to get seats in the end zone for free. Well that was revenue and they got rid of the real fast

NFL really doesn't need that to get the crowds hyped up. They also don't really want bands there. Football games are about going to the stadium hours before to tailgate and drink beers, going into the game to drink beers and yell at people, and maybe enjoy a game before hittin the grills in the parking lot after the 4th quarter is over. That is what football in the NFL is all about.

As a former band geek (high school) and huge college and pro football fan - I would NOT want to see that happen! I love it at the college level but definitely not for it at the pro level. I don't think the pro fans really need any help getting hyped. With the college crowds, what do you expect? Most of the crowd is a bunch of college kids, that's essentially who the band is playing to - their classmates.

I don't think it would make NFL fans happy for one. I would hate to see a band in the stands of an NFL game. Second, the loss of ticket sales and available tickets to be sold would make the NFL team owners and fans very unhappy as well.
NFL games are hyped enough as it is. If they made them more like one another than they wouldn't be as appreciated for their differences.

College bands at football games are the bomb!! I would love to see bands in the NFL.

Only if the bands pay for their seats. NFL is about money making. Seats are income. So they wouldn't take away from how they make money.

Because it would cost them money. Bands don't pay to sit in the stands, fans do.
