It sounds silly, but I eat them by breaking peices off first, because I don't like how it looks the other way...

Yes, depends where I am and if in public, break off pieces of course.
At home (alone) who cares!
but mostly I slice into a Fruit Salad, better that way.

Bethanierose, well it looks like almost everyone but you bites it off whereas you yourself prefer to break off pieces because..."I don't like how it looks".
What is it about the stiff, rigid, eight inch shaft of the banana that turns you off from wanting to nibble on the head of it?
I believe you might have a serious case of phallus phobia and possibly may be phallically challenged.
