The Internet is a world wide collection of computers used to host web sites and share data.
Ethernet is a protocol (or set of instructions) that a computer uses to connect with another computer.
Ethernet is the hardware and software used by a computer to connect to a network (including the Internet). A browser is the program used to access sites and files once you are connected to the Internet. Ethernet can also be used to connect to a local network or a single computer rather than to the Internet.

gppd question.
Ethernet is the protocol that is commonly used to connect the computers to make the internet.
There were different ways of doing it and ethernet somehow became the standard way to do it.
The internet is the whole combination of computers alll connected out there.
I guess some of the computers may be connected with different services and you connect to them via an ethernet connected computer .
Ethernet is a large, diverse family of frame-based computer networking technologies that operates at many speeds for local area networks (LANs). The name comes from the physical concept of the ether. It defines a number of wiring and signaling standards for the physical layer, through means of network access at the Media Access Control (MAC)/Data Link Layer, and a common addressing format.

The Internet is a worldwide, publicly accessible network of interconnected computer networks that transmit data by packet switching using the standard Internet Protocol (IP). It is a "network of networks" that consists of millions of smaller domestic, academic, business, and government networks, which together carry various information and services, such as electronic mail, online chat, file transfer, and the interlinked Web pages and other documents of the World Wide Web.
