If you don't want to remove it, ask the doc to tape it to prevent any risk of an electrical charge from the surgical instruments.

If you've had the peircing for some time, you should be able to remove what you have there and then put it back after an swelling if any.
For those who think how can you do this ....
Frenum is mainly through skin far thinner than ear lobe......can be a tickle for both parties..
removed mine few years back.....frightened partner..lol

You are at a high risk for infections!! Remove it and NEVER put it back.

My colleague at work lost his sexual organs because of an infection caused by piercing. It is not worth the fashion statement. My colleague committed suicide 3 years later. The note went on and on about how he wished he never had piercing done down there. Left a wife and two kids. Very sad.

Any operative procedure need you to remove all of your 'jewelery', include pierce.
