iam a mother of african american heritage my husband is caucasian, We are foster parents that are adopting and I have had so many look at me with contempt or as though I'm the sitter or other woman. It just seems so unfair especially when a child has a home they need. All comments will be gladly recieved!

I absolutely applaud you for opening your home and heart to a child who needs you! That is an admirable thing to do.
Of course interracial couples should be allowed to adopt. I don't see any reason why they shouldn't.
Did you hear about the Ohio couple that locked their foster children in cages? There are crazy people out there and it should only matter that the couple is loving - not what color they are.
(and they were white btw - most of the foster kids were black, so if someone thinks that you are not fit to be a mum b/c you are black, they're irrational!)

Yes, married couples should be allowed to adopt a child of any race, as long as they are financially able to support the child, and emotionally they are mature enough to provide the love and support a child needs.

Interracial couples of any combination are generally going to have problems with people of at least the two races they represent. And no race appears better at this than another. I've seen bad attitudes from asian, african american, caucasion, indian, american native, etc. communities.

No for an analogous reason Texas tried to re-abode the Orthodox Mormons' toddlers. As some would say, it helps their dad and mom to innovations wash them right into a deviant existence variety. it relatively is diverse finding out on a existence variety as an person - it relatively is a typical ultimate yet toddlers won't be able to later make a valid determination as an person if raised with bias. as a tactics through fact the anti-white bigotry, who then is appropriate? That line of questioning removes all yet blended race dad and mom and what in the event that they are no longer of an analogous blended race? the final public of little ones obtainable interior the rustic for adoption are blended or black and denying them a house for a existence without love is only undeniable stupid. this would possibly not be the appropriate occasion yet i'm able to basically think of of my niece, as quickly as a Korean toddler accompanied with the aid of my sister who now has 2 Masters tiers, is a professor, and is married to a professor and continues to be relatively close to to her adoptive dad and mom. existence in an orphanage would have been greater useful?

Of course they should be allowed too. Are you going to show around until you find a child of mixed heritage to adopt? Of course not. Some people are always going to look down on a mixed racial couple (from both sides) just because of their opinions. If you love the child and the child loves you, who give a rats @$$ what someone on the street thinks.

you have the right to adopt whomever you wish

this has been covered

I don't see what it would be a problem when WHITE parents can adopt Asian, bi/multiracial, Latino, and Black children.

In fact, if you were barred from doing so (which I doubt seriously) then you could sue.

Take care and good for you for trying to love and help foster kids and adopted kids.

As far as the sitter or other woman thing, it is par for the course....bring an ATTORNEY next time.

Call these racist fascists out.

Yes, they should. And I commend you and your husband. They need more loving, caring people like you in the world. Color should not matter.
