Rob D - you think Bob's response is 'off the wall'? Sit back and wait until Piltdown Man gets going - I dare you to ask a question on Gerry McCann - that is equivalent of kicking Piltdown in the balls!!!!!

I reckon that hasn't been thought about it but US will do it - they wont leave his security to anyone but the Americans - they are the only people who like him.

The people that are having a go at tony blair are nothing short of spineless cowards. This is a man who has transformed this country for the working man, i remember what it was like under thatcher, and major some people on here have a short memory. I accept that we went to war in Iraq on some wrong intelligence he knows this and has said so. Do you want a strong leader who supports our allies in times of need or shall we just look after our own and stuff everyone else. Tony blair has made mistakes but he is a honest man who should be applauded nod chastised

Whoever emplys him will pay for his expenses - so it'll be the US.
However as a former Prime Minister he wil be entitled to security for the rest of his life, which will come out of the UK Tax purse - anything additionally, in the line of duty say, will be covered by the US.

Another angry Brit on the war in Iraq. I wonder why so many British citizens like to play the blame game for their leaders and their actions, but wont take the responsibility for their actions. Its a shame that such a noble and honorable country has such dishonorable citizens.

Lucky I know from experience of have been to the UK and meeting many Britons that a lack of honor is in the minority.

Good Luck!!!

Luckily for you Brits your parliament can vote for whether to do it or not. This in turn forces us in the US to pay for it. If your parties vote for it, then you deserve to pay for voting them into office. I know we have been paying a heavy cost for our Electoral College's mistake.
Al Gore did win the popular vote over here, but unfortunately our Electoral College chose Bush and you've seen where that has taken us.

Like it or not, the U.K. owes a Prime Minister security for life. It goes with the job. It is not like he took up robbing trains or became a child predator.

For some reason or another, I have the feeling that Tonica Blairinsky's new employers expect the UK taxpayer to pay for it.

If he does work for the US which i personally cannot see then they will have to pay for his security.
