I have also seen that about 3 different times on my computer.

I have a cable comcast (local -- with a large modem)as a carrier, I thought perhaps that was the problem, no one else is on my computer, but I do have different accounts.

I have no reasonable answer, sorry.

There are two possibilities that I can see.
You have multiple user accounts created on you PC and the other person using is not logging off.

Somebody is logged into your PC remotely.

On either of these instances you will receive the message that someon is using your PC. Once you click Yes to that all unsaved items the other person might have will be lost.

If you have more than one account on your computer or if your computer is connected to a LAN it is possible to receive that message. It is not to worry. It is a normal error form his father Bill Gates. So check if you have any account that is not logged off. If you have an account just switched user you will recieve that message. You have to log off all users. Also if anyone else is accesing from network you printer or any shares of you.

This is usually a message about another profile on your pc. If there is more than one log on name when you start up the pc you have multiple profiles. Does anyone else use this machine?

It is not about someone outside hacking in. Hackers are smarter than that.

Do you have more than one user account send up on the computer? If so, then someone else may be logged on with the other account, and forgot to log off.

Do you have any shared folders? If so, someone else may be accessing the folder(s). Unshared them and then will be locked out of your computer.

Do you have a shared printer? If so, unshared the printer.
