Hirple is a British word, which means "to walk lamely or hobble".
Curple is a word out of Scotland, which refers to the hindquarters of a horse. The current Shorter OED lists 'curple' dating from 1591.

Contrary to popular opinion, the word "purple" does have rhymes in the English language. In fact, there are two rhyming words, abet words that aren't used in today's vernacular.

Hirple (to hobble) and curple (the hind quarters of a horse).
But this has the makings of a somewhat zany poem.

Dressed to the nines, wearing regal purple,
Sipping robust wines, and walking with a hirple
Spewing doggerel lines, sounding like a curple.

Where else can you really go with it?
Maybe violet or mauve would be better shades of purple to use for rhyming.

Nothing! It's one of those words that has no exact rhyme.

If you want something to ALMOST rhyme with it, you could use words that rhyme with each syllable- 'pur' and 'pull', like this:

I know an old lady, and her nose is purple.
You can give her forty drinks, and you still won't get HER full!

Pretty lame, I know, but it's all you can do. Why not use 'mauve' instead? ;)
