Definately, in fact using a controceptive pill would benefit your irregular periods. Many people use the pill in order to keep their periods regular. You could also use this as an excuse to your parents in order to aquire them.

The Pill may be of use to you. It can give regular periods where there were not ones previously.

But if you are thinking of being promiscuous, it is a very bad idea.

You should not be having sex unless you are engaged.

Realize that many men will accept all offers, but will not take care of you or your children. You become not much more than a large sex toy.

The other problem with the Pill is that it has hormonal effects. Today, these are far less than they used to be, because the dose is reduced, but apart from putting on weight and breast soreness, there are now issues of whether it alters the men to whom you are attracted and makes you more desperate, so that you are lured into relationships with men that you would never have been otherwise interested in.

The reason for this is that the Pill tricks the body into thinking you are pregnant already, so that you do not become pregnant.

There is no doubt that if you are going to be promiscuous that you are best off on the Pill, but like anything else in life, it is a lottery. Are you feeling lucky?
