That would be a long list... 296 hours, but no formal degree.
I was undecided at first in a college out of state. Science, English and history credits didn't transfer well into my senior level in-state college, so those I had to repeat. I wanted to teach algebra and Spanish on a junior college basis, but I learned you must teach HS for a couple of years first, sorry I'd go to jail ~ I don't deal well with adolescents. Then I thought Special Education. I adored the head professor in that department, but realized I wouldn't be happy with this as a profession. I changed over to Elementary Education and was entering my final semester when the college implemented Early Childhood Education. At the same time, and out of necessity I started a child care business. It grew and I had to leave school It's been 17 years. The state would like me to get a CDA (Child Development Associates), but it won't increase my salary in any way. I take 30 or more hours of continuing education every year in my target area, plus CPR, First Aid, Personal Safety and all EMS training I can acquire. Possibly when my last child leaves the nest, I will have time to finally finish some type of formal degree. I'm waiting, patiently...

I graduated with an accounting degree in 2005 (I was 45 then). I am working as an accountant in a government job.

My passion has always been history & would have loved to be a teacher, but accounting pays better.

Two more semesters left for my degree in electronic technology...

Then I'm just going to spend five years of my life getting a journeyman's license to be an electrician--it is just nice to have a background in electronics...
