There was just a new study released about this Tuesday. Very few brands were as advertised. I haven't read the study yet. If they are outside they need an SPF of 45 applied liberally and often. It doesn't last for hours and hours especially with kids who touch their faces and sweat while playing outside. Try Johnson & Johnson's sunscreen. Also if you can get them to wear baseball caps with the visor in front it helps also.

There is this one sunscreen, its a bit spendy, but its called Photoflex, or Photoplex, and it is up to 70, or 75 SPF. That would be a good product to use. Otherwise, get them so SPF 50 or 60 and apply it every few hours. Hawaiian Tropic has a sunblock called Ozone, that is one of the best as well.

Just get the highest factor you can find...I usually get factor 50 as I burn really easily, and apply it as often as possible. If you just get a well known brand it should be fine as long as it is high factor.

Also, make sure you protect sensitive areas, such as the eye lids, scalp (with a hat), feet etc which you may not normally think about.
