WOW! What a week! I posted a question about my daughter and her high temp last week and all of you gave really good answers, the doctors kept sending us away but I didnt listen and stuck to my guns and told them that something was wrong with her, they didnt believe me but when they eventually tested her they found out she had pneumonia! I cant believe they just sent us away and dismissed us like that! Anyway she is back home now but we had to stay in the hospital with her hooked upto a drip for over a week.
I had my 20week scan while she was in there (the day before she came home) and we found out that we are having a boy BUT we cant decide on any names! My daughter is called Elsie Ann so something that will go with that. I like names such as Harry or William but dh doesnt, he likes Robbie, Riley or Damon. We are at a loss, can anyone help us?

mia-actually the princes' names are William and Henry, he just gets called Harry and just because I like the names why does that mean I am obsessed? Robbie is the name of a football player who plays for dh's favourite team and Riley was a character out of his favourite TV programme. I like the names because I like them and they appear a few times in my family tree, he likes the names because he likes the people with them. Now you tell me whos obsessed and with which names. Think before you answer, you dont always know the situation!

Riley William does sound nice.
My boy is called William Edward, and if I had a girl I would call her Victoria Anne.
I am neither obsessed with the royals, but they are very classic names. I love older Styles. Dont listen to other peoples criticism in that regard.
A name you can shorten is always pretty cool, then they have a distinguished version as well as what their mates call them.
How about Lindsay or Clifford, Christopher. Jett is a pretty common name at the moment.
My sons middle name was the name of his twin that didnt survive. Sob, sob, Im Ok now! But Edward is a pretty cool name, can be shortened to Ed, Ned, Eddie.

First off, you should report that so-called doctor!! Or at least tell him/her to listen better to a mom's instincts!!
As for names, Riley is a great one. I also like Dylan, Edward, James, and Steven.
A good method is to put the favorite names in a jar and pull one out. Then really study that name and try to envision it on an adult as well as a baby. Sometimes thinking of it on an adult will make the decision.

Love Harry, You could go with Harrison and shorten it or just go with Harry. Love Damon too, no reason though. Cant come at William, but Will is cute. Depends on the middle name and last name. Baby names are cute but unfortunately they have to grow up and grow into names. Good luck.

Wow-I'm glad your daughter is doing better!
I like Riley, like your husband said.
William will be shortened to Will, Bill, Willy, Billy, or Liam, so be prepared.
Perhaps you could have William be the middle name, and find a name both you and your husband like as the first name? Evan William is cute....

Riley can also be a girl's name. I think I like it better for a girl -- that my convince your husband not to use it! so wonderful to hear your daughter is well and be sure you keep talking with the doctors when you know something is not quite right. don't let anyone dismiss you when you know what you're talking about!
