I have had a weight gain, and now with a fractured ankle, I need to absolve my body of the excess water....water alone isn't helping, and I do NOT use salt. MY body simply absorbs the sodium content in ANYTHING I eat, leaving me to bloat abnormally and the pressure on my ankels and feet are excruciating......Any ideas? I have tried smi-fasting, I use herbs, Red Raspberry is analleged great overall for this, but it is not effective to me......any ideas people? I am open, oh one more thing, I cannot have citrus ad I will not know until Monday a darn thing...please allow that I chose to use this category ~ surely someone has had this same malady and it does slow me down....... the heat has for now lifted, but when it returns I need a game plan....I look forward to ANYTHING you think might help me. Thanks.

Dear Mistress: Not that I've tried it for that purpose, but I'll tell you that when I drink a large Diet Coke or Diet Snapple, ir really tends to...uh...flush the system if you know what I mean.
Hope that ankle is healing :-)

You do know that most teas are also diuretic. I wish I had my herbal books unpacked because I believe that the same herbs for PMS would also be effective but I can't remember them. (I'm lost without my books)

Alfalfa (and you can find it in tablet form too) can be good for helping with water retention. Ask your dr if it's ok to take this.

I personally find Bran useful. Either in of itself or sprinkled onto something more palatable.
