How do i potty train bunnies (don't laugh) to use litter tray.?

They are making such a mess and if they would do it in a certain corner or place i would be able to get a tray that i could clean everyday.

work out which corner of the hutch it uses as its toilet (they do this naturally as they are very clean animals) then put some kind of litter tray there with some cat litter in it. after a couple of weeks it Will associate going to the toilet as using the tray rather than using the corner.
then you should have no problems with it making a mess in your house if you let it in as long as you keep it's litter tray near by.
you may find the occasional poop but 99% of th time it will always use the tray for wee's.
after you have the toilet issue sorted you just have to work out how to stop it chewing everything. i suggest a piece of fruit wood. if you or a neighbour have an apple tree or something like that then a small piece of branch should stop it from destroying the telephone cables. although this doesnt always work as we found out the hard way lol

If you bunnies are babies, it might be harder to get them to use the litter box all the time. but watch where they go and put a litter box there...you may need more than one for a while.
We use a cat litter box lined with newspaper and topped with fresh grass hay. You want the box to be enticing and the hay should encourage your bunny to use the box. When you see them using the box, praise them, give them a sprig of parsely.
For now, don't clean the box every day and when you do, add back a few poops and some wet newspaper to give them the idea.
If they haven't been spayed/neutered, that will help a lot and if you have a female a spay is necessary for health - unspayed females run a high risk of uterine cancer.

I have 2 ferrets and they are litter trained so i imagine it will be the same with rabbits, although ferrets will only pooh in the same place so it might be easier with them. All we did to train them was spend the whole day picking them up and putting them in the tray, they picked it up very quickly. I'm not sure about rabbits' pooping habits but ferrets poop approx every 3 hours so we had to watch them carefully but within the day they had it sussed. Also make sure the tray is clean as if i've left them to go to work and it's become dirty they will move it out of the way and poop in the corner.

first look where they do the mess the most, then put you litter tray in that place, leave a little mess in the tray(by mess i mean poop) when u see then make a mess pick them up and put them in the tray keep doing this , its hard work but they will get the idea (just like a cat)

u dont say if there indoor bunnies or live outside. my bunnies lived outside, but were put in a special enclosure to run around in every day. i put a litter tray in the enclosure filled with earth and they did use it. hope this helps

you gotta be brave and clean the cage up BUT pick up a few of the "pellets" and place on the tray that way they know thats where they go. it might not work the first time but theyll get it ! :D
