i was watching a movie called gone in 60 seconds and i heard something about laser cut keys.

its an electronic model designed to cut ignition keys by laser for duplications for automotive applications

A key cut by a laser... would be my guess.
Making it hard to reproduce. Although
you can get cutting lasers pretty easily
these days.

Does Hollywood always have to refer to real life?
Well, apart from the banana phone in The Matrix made Nokia do it for real 'cos people hassled them about it... and other things that hollywood 'invented'.
Don;t know anyone who uses a laser to cut keys. Bit dangerous to have around a laser that powerful operated in a shopping mall.
