The zipper on my dress is broken, the bottom part is gone. If I brought it to a dry cleaner, does anyone know how long it will take to fix?

You can always buy a new zipper at a craft store, and sew it on yourself...
but best bet would be to bring it to a tailor and get it fixed proffessionally.

P.S. If the dress itself wasn't very expensive, it might actually be cheaper to buy a new one.

Can you use a needle and thread? Just stitch up on one side of the zipper and down on the other about ten times in exactly the same spot, just above where the zipper stop was. This will do it.

It should be a simple thing to fix. How long your local shop will take to fix it will depend on whether they have an operative available there and then.
