im not a lesbian, but i just dont get it i mean people dont hate a guy for loving a girl, why do they hate a guy loving a guy, or a girl loving a girl? i mean love is love, its not some kind of mutation or anything

okay, you say being gay is learned but then how is it that we have gay dogs and other animals? are you going to tell me they learned that, cause thats a pretty hard trick to teach, and ofcourse no one wants thier insurance going up because of "life-partners" thats why they should let gay people get married, just like any other couple

Some people have the persepective of "two halves can't make a whole without a hole" as said by quagmire in family guy. I personally think that people nowadays have become more accepting of gay people and their partnerships. However the thing i find most interesting is that most people will say that their fine with gays, they have nothing against them, no problems at all. But when a family member comes out of the closet, it's unnaccepted (although not always). At the end of the day everybody is entitled to their own opinions and if some people are not as open minded as others than that's their choice and there's nothing more you can do.

Well here's the fundamental problem in the way you worded things Andrea... you asked Why people Hate Gay people. There are certainly stupid people out there that take the position of "hating gay" people and this position will definitely vary depending on the city and state one is in, but I don't believe it's about HATE as much as it's about the "ICK FACTOR" for either side.
There is a liberal existence that accepts peoples choice to be gay (and there is substantial evidence that this is a "learned" behavior, let's be honest)_or even if it's a genetic situation regardless there is an "ICK FACTOR" amongst the general population that causes reactions, judgments, questions etc.
I imagine the aforementioned is what you are referring to as HATE yes?

They don't hate girls for loving girls. They love girls that love girls. They only hate guys that love guys and it's really wrong. Some of my best guy friends are gay, and they are the funniest people I know. I think guys just think they're gunna get hit on but they're just full of themselves. I'm not gay either, but I say GO GAYS! Girls or boys, gay or staright, everyone is great, so live it up!

Because it is wrong and they are teaching this to kids in schools as a normal alternative lifestyle. It isn't a civil rights issue-they define themselves by a sexual practice they engage in, they are not born that way-it's learned behavior just like prejudice, it is also unnatural-no species reproduces via male to male or female to female. Psychiatrists, up until recently, said it was disordered lust, immaturity and arrested development. Christians believe it is a sin and a perversion. I don't want my health insurance premiums going up because I don't want to pay for a homosexuals "life partner's" coverage. You can have love without sex. Their love is lust.
