One thing that makes me overcome my PMS is exercise. I usually go to the gym or just take an hour walk if not everyday, then at least 3x a week. Based on my experience,, the more stressful I am, the more I have a terrible PMS; easily irritable,,, always cry, so sensitive to people around me... I easily get upset. There are so many advantages from doing exercise.. I don't have menstrual pains now, i feel better physically and mentally and the lesser PMS I have. Why not give it a try?

I have the contraceptive implant and it means I don't get periods!!! It hurt for about 24 hours after they put it in, but it is more effective than sterilisation (according to my doc!), stops your periods (in most people) and you don't have to think about it again for 3 years! I'd totally recommend it.

As for today, you need zinc. Zinc helps relieve PMS symptoms. Try eating some sunflower seeds, or getting a supliment. Chocolate is more fun, but it won't help and will just make you crave more choccy!

I hope you feel better soon :)

One thing that you could try that can be helpful is trying taking B6. You can find it in a bottle by itself or as part of B Complex. The big drugstores such as Wal-Mart carry it as well as The Vitamin Shoppe (with this store they also have the capability for people to order online if there's not a store in their area).

Please also check with your dr for additional ideas and also to find out what they think about taking B6.

This problem is not just in your head. It affects millions of women. First of all, go see your doc. Describe your symptoms to him/her.
There are many alternatives out there. Birth control, even SSRI's that can help eleveate these symptoms. Good luck

I get that. But this time was worse because my sister was staying with me, and I got really agitated. Oh, it wasn't her. Just me hormones raging..
