Depends on the individual's situation. One of the reasons why a man in his 40s would become more active in bed is that by this age, he is more likely to have found "wisdom" in both his business successes (financially) and has acquired knowledge through the years of how to please a woman, and also more knowledge in men's sexual health. And the obvious, the advent of ED drugs such as Viagra & Cialis and now being more affordable in "generic" form -- All of these factors combined together makes a man at that age to have a lot more confidence and advantages over a less knowledgeable younger male, say in his 20s.

I guess the same reason why women in their 30s are more likely to be better in bed than women in their teens & 20s. The more "experience" you are in love making in both your own sexuality and your partners -- the more active you are sexually.

man oh man that one answer was mad by an idiot lol men peak at 14 to 22. since the average age for puberty with men is 14-15 but i aint sure on that one. the sperm count not testorone starts to diminish after the peak. however it usually does not hit zero unless a man has had that area injured somehow or a sickness of some sort. its not uncommon for men in their 60s,70s,80s,90s to father a child. now there is such a thing and it varies from man to man. and isnt as easy to spot as in women. men have a monthly cycle as do women. and their is such a thing called male menapause. now i dont know the medical term for it but its a real thing. now unlike women even after this men can still father children but from what i understand the drive and desire for sex diminishes

He becomes like the old lion of the pride, he wants to show he still has what it takes before things start to go down hill. Many men in their forties take a little longer in bed. I think it has to do with knowing what to do by that age. It won't be a slap, bang, thank you ma'am like it was in his twenties. I think though men on the whole are becoming more educated and aware of the whole sex act and it's not just about his feelings. Women these days are more than likely to tell him he is a very bad lover and of course that would not do his ego any good. I think guys are becoming more thoughtful and aware that there are two people involved who both need satisfaction.

By this age it becomes quality not quantity. Luckily I have both. My hubby is 41 and is still a machine. the quality is the best everything is done passionately as we get a bit older. With every touch and with everything said. It just gets better and better.

Biologically, No. Testosterone levels start diminishing, and with it sexual drive. But psychologically, many/most men hit their 40's, look at their lives, and go "Oh cr@p! I'm getting old! That can't be!". So they start doing things to prove to themselves that they're not really getting old, like buying sports cars, dating inappropriately younger women, and taking viagra (while telling themselves they still have the sexual drive they did in their 20's - theyr'e just a little overworked -- yeah, that's it - just overworked - it's not age - no, no , no).

The sex peek for men is actually 14-22
and women is 26-34
I really doubt that this myth is true 22 years is too long from that time and may be significantly less by then!

Yep. We figure that we'd better get in as much as we can now before we fizzle out later.
