Well there were dark hued attractive people running through the junhle - - - one cannot truly compare Apocalypto with any film other than those in the Canon of Gibson. It is as true to History as Braveheart and The Patriot and The Passion of the Christ. It is Gibson's Vision. It exists outside of History yet reveals history much like a docomentary on the Discovery or History or the A & E.
