It was the English (Saxons) who invaded the British Islaes & separated the Celtics peoples of Scotland & Ireland so then why hate eachother (Scot-Irish Protestants & Irish Catholics), as you are both Celtic origins, by the way how did the Scots-Irish become Protestans & Irish in Ireland stayed Catholic since both people's were of Celtic heritage.

I know its over Religion but dont they think for one second hey we the Scots. Irish are all majority Celtic in heritage & that we should not let Religion cause divisions, & not let somone called Lutur separate us though they are but why not just pause for a sec & think about this, we are fighting over other people who made this division,

To quote once again from 'South Pacific'.

It has to be taught, carefully taught'.

Fortunately this evil only exists around Glasgow.

This stupid racism is protected by the authorities who give police protcection to orange marches in the city on the grounds that it is a tradition.

Hanging blacks in the US south was a tradition too but that does not make it right!

The Celtic tribes were always fighting over territory, etc. When the Romans invaded they pushed them into the Extremities of the British Isles.
The Northern territories then continued to fight and trade with there Celtic cousins until eventually a tribe called the Scots invaded and dominated the Western Side of the Northern Territories about 1200 years ago.
The Scots came from the island we now call Ireland and the Northern and Caledonian territories then became called Scotland.
Whilst, by this time the Romans had got bored with the weather in the South and gone home and the Angles had invaded what was left to form Angleland or England.
If they didn't have religion to fight over they would have to find something else, like football.
God bless us one and all!

When it's over religion, dig a bit and you'll usually find it's not really over religion at all. People love to square off against others, it's just the way we're wired. Religion is just a convenient excuse. There's a saying that the Scottish are just Irish that could swim - There's also the tradition of arguing and getting ones back up among the various Celtic people. I agree it's a dumb divide, but no dumber than any other.

Blame it on Martin Luther.

Actually, you can blame it on the split of the Roman Catholic church and the Greek Orthodox church, which occured over the usage of unlevened bread during mass.

It just goes downhill after that.

Then, along comes Martin Luther with his 95 theses about the over-indulgences of the Catholic church, and boom! reformation and thus, protestants.

Protestants are basically people who feel that faith alone (rather than deeds) will get you into heaven. This idea stems from the fact that the Catholic church, at the time of Martin Luther, was allowing people to pay money to priests so that their time in purgatory might be shortened once they die. Luther took issue with that notion, which was one of the inspirations for his 95 theses that he pinned to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenburg.

As for your Scots-Irish:

"In 1530, Luther presented beliefs of the new movement at the Diet of Augsburg, in a peace-seeking, non controversial attempt to explain their views. But as a result, the division between the Catholic and Protestants remained and became more distinct. New churches began to emerge referred to as "Evangelical" or "Protestant." And from this came three other branches: The Lutherans (in Germany and Scandinavia), the Zwinglian and Calvinists (in Switzerland, France, Holland and Scotland), and the Church of England."
(from the source)

So yeah, it's been a long and arduous journey for organized religion.

Hope this helps!

Historically, the Celts always loved battering the hell out of each other. Ceasar invaded Briton and had a hard time finding Celts to fight, they would be off arguing with their neighbours. Same in Gaul, he would do a grand tour of what is now France and Belgium sorting out squabbles between Celtic tribes, and either getting tribute or conquering the poor sods on the wrong side of the disputes.

many of the different solutions are incorrect: The Catholic Church DOES realize marriage to non-Catholics and, relating to Irish Catholics "as against" English Protestants, there are thousands of thousands of British human beings (maximum of whom are Protestant) residing in eire, with a really extreme share being married to Irish human beings (maximum of whom are Catholic)... and vice versa, viz a vie Irish human beings (frequently Catholic) in Britain (frequently Protestant). From the attitude of the State, the religion of both party would not count number so, in the adventure that they have a civil ceremony no man or woman will care. in the adventure that they actually have a non secular ceremony, and he needs to have it regarded through the Catholic Church, he in basic terms seeks permission from the community Bishop (it truly is frequently given there-and-then). Then, for the honestly ceremony, the options are to have a good time the Catholic ceremony of Marriage with a Mass OR to have the marriage witnessed through a Catholic minister, and invite yet another Christian minister to take area interior the marriage OR to have the marriage witnessed through a Christian minister, with a Catholic minister helping OR to have the marriage witnessed through a minister of the religion of the non-Catholic man or woman, if the Catholic man or woman first obtains a dispensation from the Bishop.

Because when you get so passionate about religion, you give in to the temptation of allowing your passions to dictate your thinking.
That's why. No brains, all emotion.
