My boyfriend told me that he thinks I am the real woman. Since English is not my native language, I wasn't sure what it connotes.

He means that you're a wonderful person. A real woman is someone who takes good care of the husband, boyfriend, house, meals, and kids. I consider myself a dam good "real woman". I work and have 2 kids. My husband is a rough neck and works in the oil rigs, and I can't expect for him to get home to a dirty house with dinner not made. I would not hear of him washing clothes or dishes. These things are so easy to do, yes he can do it but I don't mind. A real woman will take care of her man no matter what, and that includes in the bedroom sweety.

Real women in all languages and in men's point of view means: you should obey him, treat him like your child, take care of him, his feelings, his emotions, wash his clothes, prepare him meals, always agree to whatever he says, be a woman at home and a man outside it cause you have to take care of other things like paying the bills and other stuff. You should be like his mom cause she is the only real woman he knows.
P.S. in men's point of view: there is no real women no matter what u do :)
