there is a rule that says "i before e except after c"? wouldnt that mean science is spelled wrong?

because we speak the english language... that's why. there is an exception for every rule in the book. i think we should convert to spanish haha!! i hate the english language... it's the third hardest language in the world... did you know that?? absurd -- all of it!!

the elglish language is stupid. there are rules like that and then there exceptions to those rules. it's very confusing
