I live in the next town over from you (you can guess which one). And the first thing you need to do is get quality headshots done. Remember, the headshots are your business card. They need to scream out to the casting director "Cast me, Cast me". Once you've gotten the headshots (you'll need at least one commercial (smiling) and one theatrical (serious)), then it's time to build your resume. Covina looks like they are about to finish the new community theatre there on Citrus, so that is a good place to start as is student films. My opinion is that the only legitimite online sites to use (especially for an "LA" based actor) are actorsaccess.com and lacasting.com. It does cost a little money for photo uploads and whatnot, but the investment is worth if it you are going to pursue this because acting is a business, and just like any other "self employed" person, you need to invest in that business. "You" are the product. Then once you get some credits and experience, I also recommend taking acting classes from some of the better teachers. In your case, someone like Andrew Magarain @ The Shop would be good. He does a lot with the "under 18" crowd. The only other thing I would recommend to you is determine what your "type" is. And by "type", I mean, are you the beautiful young lead, or are you more on the character side. or are you the bad-a$$ hardcore chick, etc. Believe me, it's the unique people that get more work than the 1000's of others that all look the same. And I've been at auditions where we all looked so similar, you'd thought it was a family reunion. Hope this helps.

Try acting workshops before you get an agent. You can check on the back of LA Weekly's, try getting into independent "student" shoots to get some experience. www.auditionagency.com/acting is a start.

A Talent Agency cannot accept you as a client.
You're too young to sign a contract. If you want to pursue this your mom or dad, must sign the contract for you. Ask them.
