I have been going out with this girl from a respectable family for about 9 months now. She is 15 and her family hates me because I am 18. We love each other and saved up enough so we can move east. I just bought a new Honda Accord and it was trashed about a week ago so it delayed or move. Come to find out that the person who messed up my car turned out to be Jonice, my girlfriend's father. Saving up all of my hate I took aim at his home with a scoped rifle and waited for home to come out. To my amazement I saw him strike my girlfriend several times to her face! After he left I shot him in his right leg. Now I don't know what to do?! Turn myself in? Tell her? Run away? Throw away the gun? HELP!!!

wipe down the gun and then throw it in a river or ocean whichever is closer to you, the deeper the water the better. File a police report on the vandalizing of your car, and continue with business as usual. Stay away from the girl because she is a minor and given the age difference the father can get you in a lot of trouble. And don't tell anyone about the incident.

Well, either leave the country now, or turn yourself in.
The sooner you turn yourself in, the easier the system is likely to go on you. You would be wise to get a free consultation with an attorney first, though.
But, in the future, I recommed you that you use lethal force only when you are defending against immediate risk of lethal injury...which you were not this time.
In the future, let the cops do the policing; It's better to lose your car, than spend years in jail.
On the bright side, you didn't kill the guy.
You may get off with a year or so.
Plan on doing your time....and getting a lot of reading done. Well read people are less likely to make such foolish mistakes.
P.S. No 15 year old chick is worth going to jail for years over. Maybe you should pick your loves more wisely in the future.

So the first thing you do is post this on Yahoo Answers? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Of course you did everything you said. Some advice: A) try thoroughly thinking through your motivations and the possible ramifications of your actions, then, B) write a poem about your emo experience, then, C) maybe cut yourself or something because you are so confused and pain is the only real thing, then, D) move out of your bedroom and get an education, as it may help you out.

Did you hit him, when you said you shot him in his right leg? As if in your statement you didn't know what you are doing when you are in your GF house that night(?) you shot the father of your GF.
We are not clear what kind of gun you used here anyway, an airgun or semi-automatic, which ever. I certainly hoping you should turn yourself in, well you did it anyway. We could suggest also to run away, and live yourself in the Bahamas or the crown colony of whatever country, but you haven't got the money for it.
Turning yourself in would definitely, your GF's father would hate you more than the usual and curse the day her own daughter found you. You shouldn't done it in the first place.

This is not good. If you run from the law, you will be found eventually. I would have a talk with your girlfriend and both of you should talk to her father. He too is in the wrong for striking her in the face as he did. Hopefully you can all work it out without anyone going to jail.

In the first place, the girl's parents had good reason to be concerned. She's only 15.
In the second place, your behavior demonstrates that you need to mature a great deal before you go off with a girl.
Thirdly, I'm sorry her father hit her. That wasn't right either.

Seeing that you are the 'boyfriend' and there was some trouble, you will be number one suspect. However, here is the question, "Were you trying to kill him or just scare him?"
Your intention is going to make a big difference in what they convinct you on. And I am sorry, but you will be caught, and tried and convicted. Turn yourself in and explain that you only wanted to scare him because he trashed your car. Actually hitting him was an accident. Best of luck.
