Is there something growing up that your mom would say to you that you really didn't understand, but as you got older you finally understood ? My mom had several little sayings but, the one I like the most is " It takes one to know one." True, True!
Yours? Any you can remember or say yourself.

Sorry, none here. My mother didn't raise me, my dad did. I guess there were things he would have said along the line but none are coming to me at the moment. I do have a lifelong friend that would say "I might not like what you do but I still love you" and it is as I grow older that I believe that. We must be our own individuals. I used to be so afraid that someone would not like me if I acted a certain way or did somthing not to their liking but now I know that I am my own person and if that person truly accepts and loves me, then it doesn't matter. Was this confusing? :-)

My mom use to say "life is a two way street" and " I give you an inch and you take a mile". I didn't really understand what she was talking about, I just knew that I was in trouble.
Now as a mother, I just make my point clear with "your in big trouble Mister!"

well one day my mom took me to the bathroom and told me to look at myself in the mirror. She said, "Do not compare yourself to others, compare yourself to yourself"

"All men are the same" (ie. liars, cheaters...)

Maybe that's not true... but so far so good.
I love ma mama!
