you don't say where you are from. Most states have help with schooling for low income people. Don't give up, Keep trying and seeking out ways to get educated.
Medical billing you need a good memory epecially with codes and numbers.
When I was young I wanted to be a nurse., It was very discouraging to say the least. I would apply to a junior college and they had 300 applicants and just took 30 students in to the nursig program.
I worked hard and saved money. I wanted to be an RN but it was next to impossible to get accepted to a school. So, I decided to become an LVN and I did everything an RN did except start I V's.
I got my basic classes out of the way, like chemistry, english, anatomy , etc.
I finally after three years got accepted to a nursing program. I worked weekends. I had to study hard. I paid my way through college. It can be done. You have to be determined. If I can do it, you can do it.

Try getting into a medical or dental assitance program. It is usually a short program (you can finish within less than a year) and they usually can help you get financial aid. After that it will be much easier to get a job at a clinic or hospital.

No you don't need to be good at math to do medical billing. You just need to be organized and very detail oriented to do medical billing.

If you are interested in medical billing, my suggestion would be to try to contact a local community college and see if they offer any courses on billing. Also, I am getting my certification for meidcal billing and coding from CBT Direct, I would check them out too. It isn't too teriibly expensive, they have me on a payment plan, and I think I pay like 45 dollars a month for my classes. Its incredibly affordable. The classes are self-paced.

Good Luck!

medical billing is actually leaning about diagnosis codes and insurance companies. Anyone can do it. The pay is better than cafeteria worker but not as much as a licensed professional. They do have technical schools with short programs of study.
