Heck yes...there is a reason they give you that #...you must be rechecked by the dr. before resuming...if anything is not right it could get worse...

After my first baby ( and 32 stitches) I waited 8 weeks after and my second baby I waited the full 6 weeks. That was for intercourse though, we did a few other things to keep each other happy until my post-natal visit and I got the all clear from my doc.
I know it might be hard, but considering infections, tilted wombs...etc.. better to be safe and get checked out than sorry later!

and then some!

My husband was literally counting the days until my six week visit. When I came home and told him my doctor gave me the "go ahead" he was thrilled!! Unfortunately, our first attempt was unsuccessful...as was our second..third...fourth...you get the picture. I was still SO sore from the delivery and my stitches it felt like I was being stabbed with a knife! It took about 12 weeks before I could tolerate sex again. My poor hubby was so patient and understanding :) what a great guy

They say six weeks for a reason. That's about as much time as your body needs to heal. If you start a little sooner there may be some pain. However, every body is different. But, aren't you a little tired?

8 weeks with my first baby as I tore(and bled for 6 weeks) and 3 weeks with baby 2 as I had no grazing or tearing and only bled for 1 week.

Oh for God's sake think of something else besides sex. Give the poor girl time to heal properly.
