Magazines-teen, people, cosmo girl.you could check them out at your local library(to save $$)
shop at tj maxx and marshals && value city they all are affordable and have name brands.
fashionistas obsess mostly on themselves, looks, and what other people think of them.
their role models are tyra banks, beyonce, brittney spears, and hillary duff!
they act self centered and snooty =)
for baby soft skin use any cocoa butter lotion or shea butter. =D
good luck!

first for all holidays ask for simple thing and cut out pictures if the person giving the gift can afford much tell them a subscription to your favorite magazine (20 dollars or less for a year) if its a lot an American express gift card this way its still like cash and you can add to get thing you like. a wasted gift is the worst. get the staples great white tee, white button down top , good jeans. black dress, cardigans, no crazy prints, nothing that make a noise or jingle one great multi purpose bag not a 1000 but not a cheap knock off a clean leather bag and a great pair of shades gojane.com. now, look around and think about 5 people whose style you admire take one item of clothing make it yours then 5 you done like and do the opposite of what they do.also always remember 4 things your mom is usually right, shes your best friend for life ( i know in a few years this will be clear), water solves everything from weight gain to great skin, and enjoy every minute you have you dont get them back. i was a cheerleader/ mean girl type and i loved it.

1] watch your diet: avoid fried, fast, and junk food - even diet junk food [ fashionistas can't be fat ], drink 1/2 gallon of water a day, take a multivitamin with minerals every day.
2] do aerobics 3 x a week for maintainance; 6 x a week for weight loss. Do 3 sets each of 10 reps - pushups, situps, obliques, and crunches. Increase as you get stronger.
3] wash, sunscreen [ AM ], and moisturize [ PM ] for your skin type; exfoliate 2-3 times a week with Aapri or St. Ives apricot scrub.
4] figure out your body type - { pear, plus, hourglass, boy shaped [ no waist ], or petite}, and your most flattering colors -WARM: ivory, tomato red, peach, orange, rust, golden yellow, lime, kelly, olive, aqua, turquoise, teal, bright purple, caramel, chocolate, gold jewelry, OR
COOL: white, pink, cherry red, coral, lemon, mint, jade or hunter green, baby, royal, or navy blue, lavender, eggplant, gray, black, silver jewelry.
Don't wear things just because they are 'hot', wear stuff that flatters your complexion and figure.
5] Invest in quality whenever possible - check out thrift stores for designer or quality clothing, purses, shoes.
6] Read the magazines that have fashion you can afford - not Vogue, but Glamour, etc.
