Why does the world hate America?

And what can we do to change that

I know the entire world doesnt hate America but such widespread dislike for the US must have some justification

You guys all know what i mean when I say America. YES! Its the US im talking about and i do believe the line is, "America America, god shed his grace on thee"

Nope, the world does not hate America. They hate the United States.

America is a continent with many countries. Only ONE of them is the United States, one of the most hated countries in the world.

Whether it deserves it or not.. well... that's another issue. Listen to the news, read the newpapers.. figure out what this country is doing to the rest of the world.

It's not the American people.. we are victims also. It's the Government. A lot has been written about it.

When you leave America, listen to people talk other than the American and other media you will find out the WORLD doesn't hate America, or Americans.

Some stupid people do, oppressive governments certainly do, but the educated and sophisticated of the world do not as a group. You really need to travel, meet educated people around the globe, and your opinions which you have gathered mostly from the media will evaporate.

We can't. Many of them don't think for themselves. They have censorship that makes China look easy.

They see US talking seditiously about our own country and confuse that with reality. They don't understand free speech. We even repealed our sedition laws in time of war!

They don't all hate us, far from it. Proof? Look at our immigration rates! People are still fighting to get in. That's not true of our greatest national critics. Most of them are struggling to KEEP their citizens.

That's why they hate us, in part. Let them. If we have such incredible respect for free speech in our country, so many choices, so much freedom, how can we begrudge them a little upset of their own? They can't get what they want because we have it. They have a right to be upset when their national interests aren't being met because ours are being met. They have their patriots as well.

That doesn't mean I'm siding with them. I'm a patriot, too.

Because America invades other countries and ruins people's lives and is under the impression that other people want to be under Western influences and ideals and democracy like the USA. Not everyone in the world wants American ideals in their country and not every other country likes democracy. Plus the USA has to play world police with the rest of the world. The USA needs to quit trying to force democracy on other countries and leave other countries alone.

Because we're loudmouth bullies on the world stage. We think we can push people around. We think our military can blow anyone away at any time.
Just wait until China becomes a superpower. The U.S. will be in for a very rude awakening.

I think that the reason behind that is that America has the money to help people in need, and we really don't help as much as we should/could.

We have beautiful women, Freedom as they call it even though its not real. We do stupid things like try and steal from other countries and go to war over dumb things. Treat everyone from other countries that have long beards and wear robes like terrorist and we run tnings with the most valuable currency the american dollar with our dead prsidents and waist billions of dollars.

America is not hated. The U.S.A. is hated. There are two Americas. One is South America consisting of many countries and there is North America consisting of two countries, Canada and the U.S.A.
