To people that have had very good or bad experiences with one or the other (or both). I currently use Netflix, but I'm thinking about switching to Blockbuster Total Access. Which one do you think is better?

I've had NetFlix for over a year and I love it, but we go through the movies very quickly and sometimes I wonder about the instant return of Blockbuster....but I love NetFlix.\

Oo, I've had movies lost too and they've never questioned it, just replaced it no questions asked.
Besides, I've had trouble with Blockbuster just going into the store!!

I'm currently a member of both; I've been with Netflix for one month and I'll be done this week on my free trial with Blockbuster. Both of them aren't great, believe me! I've already had problems with both services.

Netflix - I live in Phoenix and they have a warehouse there, so I usually get my movies the next day or the day after that. They claim to have 75,000 plus titles, which means they have more titles readily available to ship out, unlike Blockbuster. The one problem I've had with them is that last week they sent me the 2nd disc of a cartoon series my young daughter likes to watch. We had watched and returned the first disc and was looking forward to receiving the 2nd one. But when the disc arrived, the white sleeve said it was Disc 2, yet when I took the disc out, I was surprised to find it was Disc 1. I immediately reported this problem to Netflix and the disc was classified as "mislabled." That same afternoon I drove over to the local post office and dumped the disc along with 3 other titles into the mailbox. The next day Netflix received the 3 other titles but not the mislabled one. I thought maybe they DID receive it, but because the disc was mislabled, they may have set it aside to investigate (and correct) the problem. So I patiently waited for that title to be cleared from my "At Home" list on the queue page. Unfortunately, it never did and today, after a week, I had to report to Netflix that I did in fact return that disc. So that really ticked me off and now I'm worried they might charge me for it. Other than this problem, I really can't complain much.

Blockbuster - I actually asked a question on this site about Blockbuster Online because of a particular problem I had with them. What happened was that they would skip the first 2 or 3 movies on your queue and ship you #4 and so forth. It's happened to me 3 times during this free trial period. And it wasn't because #1-3 on my queue weren't available; they were listed as "available" yet Blockbuster still decided to "ignore" those titles and send me something else. I don't have a problem with them sending me different titles because they are movies I still want to watch sometime later on but I don't see what's the point of having a queue in a particular order in which you want the titles if they aren't going to go by it. I haven't had this "skipping over titles" problem with Netflix....yet! What I do like about Blockbuster, though, is that you're able to exchange the movies for new ones at the local store for free. So I've been able to watch more movies with Blockbuster than with Netflix.

So I can't say exactly which one is better. (Sorry!) Both have its pros and cons. I think it depends on whether you want more readily available titles (Netflix) or be able to "get your money's worth" with the in-store exchange program (Blockbuster). I think for now I'll stick with both services for the summer and then decide which one I'll stay with on a long-term basis. But there's no such thing as perfect service regardless of which one I stay with in the end.

I use Total Access, and I really enjoy the fact that once I am done with a movie, I can take it to the store and get a brand new movie. You can end up with a lot of movies! I end up using the online services to get TV Seasons and then trade them in for Current Movies.

I have used Netflix for 3 years and like them. Three movies were lost in the mail and they just sent another one.
