The line "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn."

I heard that he had Tourette's syndrome...and that wasn't the original line.

Can anyone back that up? I don't remember where I heard it..

And the line was in the novel, too (without the "Frankly", that was a Selznick's addition).

NO thats not true i have the collectors edition of the movie cause its my favorite and they have the behind the scenes feature thing and it did not mention that Clark Gable tourette's syndrome

Clark Gable did not have Tourette's. The line is actually "Frankly Scarlett, I don't give a damn.

Yes it was and the first cuss word on the big screen! At that time it was a BIG deal too! My dad was at the opening movie in Cleveland Tennessee. Everyone was talking about it.

Popcorn and a coke was only 5 cents too!

I don't think that's true. He starred in many movie roles that had complex lines.
