When I visited Arkansas as a kid (with my grandparents), I hated it: it was hot, mosquitoes were everywhere, and there was nothing fun to do. When I visited several years ago, however, my first trip back as an adult, my experience was different. VERY different.

On June 13, 2001, I fell in love ... with Brinkley, Arkansas. I was there with family for four days, and even though I've forgotten quite a bit (about the trip), a few things come to mind. And they STILL warm my heart and make me smile.

I remember, after we arrived in Brinkley, it only took a few minutes (literally!) to get to the next town ... there was only one Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut, and Wal-Mart ... how everyone waved and spoke, even though they didn't know us ... and I vividly remember that I've NEVER felt such peace, before or since.

As we left Arkansas, I told my family I'd love to live in Brinkley and work in Memphis, which is an hour-drive away. This way, I can, when I choose, enjoy the privileges city life affords ... but every single day I'll relish each moment of paradise ... in Brinkley, Arkansas.

Well i live in Pennsylvania, in the country and i was born and raised here. I was never realy in the city, but i visit my family in different city's. I like the country better. I think it is kind of safer her, i know that thing's can happen any where, but the country seems more relaxing and comfortable. When ever i get in the city it is like flat and boring i don't like it. I like the country better!!!

Country life. The commute to the city is more fun than the commute in the city, and I hate most people so few neighbors is a good thing.

I would have to say the country. Nothing like sitting on the front porch enjoying good company and good food. Smelling the flowers and the fresh cut hay field across the road. (dirt road that is) Waving at someone as they go by even if you don't know them. Going to the city is an event but it's always nice to come home.

Hi, Give me country life anytime over city life. At least there is peace and fresh air in the country. Just sucking the air into your lungs in the city will choke you to death!
