k half.com owes me about $26,000.00! and i've been waiting for this check for about almost a year! Now every time i contact them they give me time fram for the check to get to me, like it will be there but it might take up to 6 monthes or 4 weeks or 30 bussines days, the last time they said the check number (actually gave me a check number) was issued and sent on 06/01/07 and if you dont recive it by 30 days reply to the email with your address so they can reissue the check! but its been 20 days and so far nothing and i doubt that i will get it by the 30th! now i have no idea what kind of lawyer i should get or if i need a lawyer and if i do should i sue? will i win? what should i sue for? or have a lawyer contact them and ask them?.. how much would that cost me? please help me thanks..

You need a lawyer immediately. If they have owed you this money for almost a year and have given you the run around, you need to file a civil suit against them to obtain this money. Of course, a lawyer will cost money, but you are owed at least $26,000, not exactly pocket change.

1. What is this check for? Did someone tell you you earned it, or did you advance money for it?
2. Sounds like a scam, any other way.

try to deal with it through your bank or the bank they deal with. you would be surprised at how easily a talk with a bank manager can get results

most lawyers will consult for free...just get one and go talk to them, listen to see what they say.
