You need a general practice lawyer. Some lawyers will give you a free initial consultation. If they think they can squeeze not only your money but also their legal fees from these folks, they MIGHT take the case. Take them all the communication, e-mail, etc. you've had so far.

Most likely, this company is just stalling to see if you lose patience and quit, or until some deadline for a lawsuit has passed.

Call the Better Business Bureau. They will look into the company to see if the are legal or just a scam. Sounds sort of dishonest to me, like something I would see on one of those judge shows. I think you should be very care full. Start by looking the business up on the net. Did they say that you won the money or what. Even if I received the check, I would be careful cashing it.

How did you manage to get a check this big? any secrets you want to share? Try talking to a general lawyer. they might be able to help or to direct you in the right direction hopefully. BTW good luck with that.

Call a network news station. They have those shame shame shame shows, that get the job done usually. Like Help Me Howard, or Shame, SHame,Shame
