We're thinking of moving from Florida to Georgia. Miami cons so far: high cost of living, rundown urban sprawl, bad air quality, bad allergies, bad traffic, aggressive drivers, language barrier (almost everyone speaks Spanish and we don't) , not much to do if you're not into the club scene or high-priced shopping. Miami pros: the beach. Have never lived in Georgia but husband has a job offer there an hour or two from Atlanta.

We live in North Georgia now, but lived in Miami for 30 years. We are moving back because my wife cannot stand the cold weather, summer here is June-September at best. Also, we miss the culture in Miami, ( we are Latin).

Georgia is beautiful and the "cost" of living is better, but the air quality here is not much better. There are smog alerts here, and in spring the allergies are horrible, much worse than Miami. Both places have good and bad, it's all a matter of perception.

Wish you well

Sasha, you're stereotyping way too lots. at first, manhattan city is the situation that for the time of no way sleeps. lots of upstate manhattan (which incorporate Churchsville) is greater similar to Georgia. Buford is a former rural area this is now a suburb north of Atlanta. Atlanta is probable greater similar to manhattan city than Rochester, long island (the closest city to Churchsville.) I lived in Alpharetta and our college advance into in Duluth, that's in simple terms south of Buford. i would not say it "revolved around race"'. If it concerns, we did no longer have Dominican's, yet did have many Asian pupils. specially Korean, yet in addition many Indian, jap and chinese language. We additionally had many white and black pupils, basically a splash of each thing. We enjoyed residing north of Atlanta and you will possibly be able to besides.
